About
Hello, my name is Woo Jin Cho, or Wooj for short. As a technology enthusiast passionate about creating intuitive and innovative solutions, I've dedicated over 16 years to advancing in the tech field. My career began in 2008 as a Junior Interaction Architect in Vancouver, Canada, where I crafted wireframe concepts for an online gaming site. The 2009 recession led to a challenging period with few contracts as a UX Specialist until 2010, after which I joined TELUS, a Canadian telecommunications company. There, I grew into one of three Principal Designers, focusing on the customer's online self-serve portal. My journey took a significant turn in 2015 when I moved to New York City to work as a Design Consultant with McKinsey & Company, later shifting to an internal role. I served as a Product Designer until February 2020 before transitioning to my current role as a Product Owner/Product Manager, where I manage a digital team. Currently based in Boston, I am preparing to relocate back to New York City in May 2024. This blend of deep experience in both Product Design and Product Management, coupled with my user-centered design and research skills, makes me special. I pride myself on simplifying complex systems to enhance user experience, leveraging my extensive digital and technical skills, and applying agile methodologies to the digital product lifecycle to push the boundaries of what's technically possible, always aiming to make users' lives easier.
